Oprah Giveaway

In the spirit of Oprah's 21-day cleanse, here's your chance to win 2 copies of eat, drink and be vegan... one for you, and one to give to a friend that is interested in eating vegan!

A random draw will be made from the comment entries made on the Vive le Vegan! blog posts during the contest period. Any comment is eligible for entry, however profanities or crude comments will be deleted and ineligible. Otherwise, any comment is okay.

Rules:

1) Only one comment per person is eligible. You can of course comment as many times as you like on the giveaway post, however only one entry per person will be eligible for the contest. Any anonymous comments must include entrant's first or last name.

2) Contest effective immediately, May 21, 2008.

3) Once winner is randomly selected, Dreena will announce that winner on the Vive le Vegan! blog. The winner will be asked to e-mail Dreena with his/her mailing address. If this winner does not e-mail Dreena within 3 days, another winner will be randomly selected.

4) Comments should not be added to this web page, and will not be included in the contest. Please add comments to new posts on the main Vive le Vegan! blog, effective immediately.

5) Both copies will be mailed to the winner. The winner is responsible to deliver second copy to friend/second recipient.

6) Contest open to residents of Canada and US only.

Oh, Oprah - I hope the masses take note. :)

Oprah's influence in this country is amazing . . . I think she will have dramatic results over the next 21 days, so let's hope she sticks to it even beyond that!

As an extra note, I work for the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine and we were all glued to the TV watching her yesterday. We've got plans in the making for Freston to host one of our "House Parties" and hopefully Oprah and her good friend Dr. Mehmet Oz will both attend to mingle with PCRM staffers. :)

If everyone who reads the books she reads goes vegan... wow... it'd be pandemonium. Tofu shortage!

i saw the show too, i wanted to hear kathy answer that question about eating animals that have been treated well or "euthanized" but she just laughed it off... anyone hear that snippet of the radio interview?

Here is my comment. I love your blog.. I am new to the vegan lifestyle after a lifetime of debilitating migraines... Vegan living has helped me get rid of them!! :)

Thanks for all your helpful info.

If anyone can make the average Jane (or Joe) go vegan, if even only for 21 days, it might be Oprah...let's keep our fingers crossed. :)

I'd love a copy of this book

I've been pining away for this book for some time, so winning would be fantastic.

I've been a vegetarian for a long time but have never made the plunge to veganism. I've only heard great things about your recipes.

On the Oprah note... I think it's amazing that she had this woman on her show and the food she's posting about on her blog sounds great... wish I had her chef!!

Thanks for blogging and bringing us innovative vegan recipes!

Hi Dreena,

I would love to be entered into your drawing. I am not vegan or vegetarian but I am interested in learning more about it. I found the youtube video of everyday dish with you making cookies and they did look good and have found your blog and website. Very interesting.

Thanks,
Dru

I would love a copy of this book(also have a friend on the brink of veganism that could use the second copy)! Hopefully this whole deal with Oprah will be more of a life choice than just a trial- think it would reach a lot of people that wouldn't think twice about certain things otherwise.

I love your blog!
I'm new to veganism and still trying to figure everything out. I love your recipes (especially the recipe for chocolate chip cookies) and I can't wait to try more.
I'm also in the slow process of converting my mom to veganism...she's almost there!
Keep up the great work! You're a real support to new vegans like me.
